Iguazu Waterfalls

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, this fantastic place will really surprise you

Voted as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Iguazu Falls is one of the most imposing natural attractions you can ever see. Situated in the National Park with the same name in the province of Misiones, these falls are shared by Brazil and Argentina.

The Iguazu river starts in Paraná state in Brazil, and after crossing 1,200 km. on a plateau where it receives several affluents, it reaches a fault forming a crack in the interleaved layers of sandstone and basalt.

This river runs through smooth terrain until it reaches a series of 275 spectacular falls and suddenly gets to an 80-metre canyon in the Devil’s Throat. In the middle of the jungle on the Argentine/Brazilian border this is the main fall of Iguazu, were the water produces a thundering sound and then drains into the Paraná river.

Beautiful rainbows, subtropical wild animals and the sound of 14 million litres water roaring has made this spectacular attraction ever popular with visitors.
