Climb up the Aconcagua, “The Sentinel of Stone”, which is the highest peak outside of the Himalayas. It is located in Western Argentina in the heart of the Central Andes. As South America’s highest peak it is one of the much pursued after “Seven Summits”.
Another great destination for hiking and mountain biking is El Chalten, known as Argentina’s Trekking Capital, this lovely village offers several trails, such as those to the base of surrounding peaks and glacial lakes.
If you are an adventure runner you can participate in races of diverse lengths and complexity in the high mountains of Bariloche, San Martín de los Andes, Villa la Angostura and Mendoza; or in the hills or of Córdoba, Sierra de La Ventana, Balcarce or Tandil.
Love winter time? So you can ski or snowboard the impressive Andes Range, plenty of tracks full of powder-snow during June to September in the towering southern mountains.
